I did my first two tours with PVRIS and it had been nearly a year since our last tour together. When I was asked to come out on the World Tour with them from 1/23 - 2/6 I was beyond excited. Their new album, WHITE NOISE, is one of the best... if not the best, albums that came out in 2014. I was excited to photograph their style again!
What ended up happening was unexpected and awesome. I ended up finishing the tour with Pierce the Veil. It was such a great time!
But I wanted to pay oath to PVRIS first! I flew out to Boston on January 12th to hang out for a week because I had been home in Chicago for a few weeks and I was going nuts. We left Boston on January 16th and had to make it to Sacramento, CA by the 20th because the band had a video shoot there with the amazing Raul Gonzo.
On the 18th we ended up getting stuck in the middle of Illinois because of some trailer problems. So we last minute had to drive three hours north, drop the band off at my house (so they could go the airport and fly to CA in the morning) and then thanks to Knuckle Puck we were back on the road with a new trailer the next day!
We finally made it to Sacramento on night of the 22nd and we were exhausted. We met up with the band and Raul and caught the last hour of their video shoot. Here's a little sneak peak...
After the band wrapped their shoot, we got dinner at this cool diner place with Raul and his team and then we headed off all the way down to San Diego to start the tour the next day. It was a wild drive and we got there about 9AM. We were pretty much delirious all day (haha) but it was a day I'll never forget. Seeing PVRIS play in front of nearly 5,000 people was such a great experience. The just killed it on the tour and I am so happy to have been apart of their career because it is about to take off! Here are all of my favorite images from my two weeks with this band that is about to dominate the world.
